“We should come home from adventures, and perils, and discoveries every day with new experience and character.”
~Henry David Thoreau
Life’s adventures are what keeps our heart pumping with excitement. Adventure encourages our zest for new sights, and keeps our quest to seek the unknown sharp in our minds.
On an adventure: Hiking the trail past beautiful St. Mary’s Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA.
Some of the mountains surrounding St. Mary’s Lake are: Reynolds Mountain, Mt. Jackson, Gunsight Mountain and Mt. Logan.
Adventures don’t have to take you far from home. They should expand and enlighten your mind and give you an experience you’ll remember. You can find adventures in your own town! Go have an adventure! (grocery shopping doesn’t count!)

Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you, Cee. And thank you for being such a great supporter of my posts.
I always see your sweet face in my “like” section. I wish I could do the same for you. I don’t seem to be able to get the time to make it to all the blogs. SOOO ….Thank you again!
Looking at the photo is like being on vacation. Breathtaking.
Thank you so much, Tess!
What a wonderful place to hike! Just gorgeous!
Thank you, unsouthernbelle. It was hard to keep my eyes on the path! (I trip easily!) I kept looking at those majestic mountains!
Another breathtaking image, Judy. Nature in all it’s finest!
Thank you, Elisa! It’s good to be back here again! Have a great time with your family on your vacation away from word press!

Thank you, Elisa!
Yes! I must go find myself an adventure! What a brilliant idea! 🙂
You live adventures right on your farm, daily!! 😉 You also have beautiful adventures in South Africa….you’ve shown us some amazing places! Isn’t it fun to think that what some folks have right in their backyards, are on the bucket lists of others….to see some day? When I lived in upstate New York State, I never went to New York City!! I left for Michigan when I was 14 and my dad’s job was transferred. New York City has been on my bucket list forever! Too funny!
Yes, it seems to be a trend. I think that whatever you don’t have, you want! The human condition!!! 🙂 And it very often happens that you live close to some important place, and you just never ‘get around to it’! 🙂
I agree! I found a blog with adventures you can do! tee hee This one is near Cape Town! Here’s a guy paragliding over Cape Town on his blog. He has a camera on the glider so you feel like you’re with him! eeek! I didn’t remember how far you are from Cape Town…but if you’d like to view his blog, here it is:
http://jacekproniewicz.com/category/paragliding/ He also windsurfs and swims with dolphins? As I’m height challenged, going up in the air like that gives me the willies! But you might enjoy it! And it wasn’t bad to watch the video! haha..
I would love to do some hang gliding, or parasailing. NO bungee jumping! And I’ll watch this guy’s site, thanks!
You’re welcome! I’m impressed! Obviously you don’t have the height-challenges I do! 😉
The image and description of St. Mary’s Lake simply blew my mind. I will definetly put in on my top bucket wish list. Just a perfect place to dream, to find refuge, to embrace new adventures. I agree , “Adventures don’t have to take you far from home. They should expand and enlighten your mind and give you an experience you’ll remember. You can find adventures in your own town!” Adventure is everywhere. All we need is a heart excited and passionate about discovering new things and places. Beautiful post my friend. Thank you. It took me to an amazing journey. Have a great weekend.
Thank you, IT! I’m pleased that you liked it!
