Very poignant story.
Thank you Tess. It’s one of my favorites. I used to read this to my kindergartners, among other books, during Black History month. They could relate to a 6 year old. I was glad to read that Ruby is well and still connected to education at her former school. And…that she and Mrs. Henry are very good friends. I like that.
