I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being. ~Hafiz

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 I was in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Lake Michigan when I took this photo. It was in the late afternoon and the sky had darkened as if a storm was coming. Quietly the sky opened, and the rays of the sun slipped through, sliding down and splashing onto the calm lake, spreading the light to everyone.
I was very inspired by this scene. After taking my photo, I sat and watched the clouds for a few more minutes, as they shifted and changed, the light moving and changing its position on the water.
I thought how dark it had been, and in an instant there was light reaching toward the earth. It reminded me of an old song: “You’ll Never Walk Alone” : “Don’t be afraid of the dark, at the end of the storm, there’s a golden sky, and the sweet silver song of the lark..”
I love this quote:
Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another hand into the light. ~Norman B. Rice
With this week’s Water Dragon Sunday posts, may we spread the light from blog to blog, all around the world….

Aint a Thing in the World that can travel Faster than the speed of Light 😛

dj is hanging in there. I need more hours in a day. do you know where I can get some? lol
ah here go panda with his noble price theory again.,
Einstien tried to stop down the time and just came to the conclusion that if a body travels with the speed of light for it the time can be slow down but to achieve a speed of light it is impossible .
and then he died 😛
then The nerdy Nalaik panda continued to work on einstien theory and he just simply switched off the cells of his wall clock and the time stopped there for him B-)
Good Willingly they will consider my work worth it and very soon the world gonna award me with the Noble Prize 😛
Well, I’m impressed! Kudos to you! 😉 You’ve got it all figured out Nalaik! When those cells got switched off, did you sleep better?
I’m sure the Nobel Peace Prize folks will be giving you a call soon 😉
And your dj will start spinning your fave song!
Awesome. I agree with you about thinking of the song: You’ll Never Walk Alone.
We never are…are we? And thanks for your comment, Tess.
Beautiful photo… It is just what would look perfect as a background for the words of a song at church.
Hi Maggie…Thanks so much. I totally agree with you.
By the way…I found this in my spam. That’s never happened to your comments before.

🙂
that’s a wonderful wonderful photo Judy.
It’s epitomises God speaking through heaven.
I guess the quote + the verse from the Bible
creates such an impression 🙂
I share a similar verse from Quran
[4:174]
O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.
Oh Amira, I like that verse from the Quran. It’s beautiful,it goes well with the photo, and it’s like the verse from Matthew 5, too. Perfect! Thank you for your sweet words and the verse!
Nice image Judy. The silhouetted trees frame the scene well.

“… in an instant there was light reaching toward the earth.” great line, and I couldn’t describe what I see in your photo better. I can imagine sitting quietly in that light.
