The Free Online Dictionary defines “through the roof” as “to increase to a very high level” (as in prices). I’m taking a little poetic license with that term today. We are “Going Through the Roof”! And we are increasing to very high levels! Read on!
The weatherman predicted seven straight days of cloudiness. UGH. On the way home from the city yesterday the sun came out! The clouds were magnificent…and you know me: I LOVE CLOUDS!
SO…..Open sunroof…..and take photos “through the roof!” at 70 mph! AND: to take photos of clouds I had to “increase to very high levels”!! Ahh, now you know the method to my madness.
This one actually is through the side window @ 70 mph ;).
Hoping to put your mind at ease….I was not driving. 😉
Have you taken shots “through the roof”, or have you taken photos from the side windows as you are riding in a car? Do share!
Happy Day to you…
Judy

I did have a moment of envisioning you with one hand on the wheel, the other hand holding the camera sky bound out of the sunroof!!
Heavenly pictures!
Hahaha…..Yes. Great comment, Elisa…my first laugh today! Thank you!
Hi Judy,
Never really tried this. It rains in Scotland a lot so I rarely have the sunroof open.
But I do have a sunset sky image taken over the rooftops from my attic window,
which I will share when I find it.
Oh that’s cool! I will look forward to seeing that image! Thanks for stopping by, Jim R.
It’s fun to take photos from our sunroof. I’ve done it!!!! Great captures of the clouds!
Thanks Cee! The only problem I have is when the road is rough! Not fun! 😉
cloud gazing always fascinate me! great photos 🙂
Thanks nitzus! They are marvelous gifts in the sky….
These photos are totally awesome Judy.
I particularly like the one with the tree skeleton 🙂 NICE
and for the record, I am one who goes snap snap whenever I’m in the passenger seat. Very rarely am I in that seat … 😀
Guess if not, I would need a couple more hard drives to store all the photos 🙂
Thanks, Amira! I like the “snap snap”! I understand the need for more hard drives!! I snap snap way too much! 😉
Oh, I surely have and they’ve been some real sweet ones too! Can’t remember which posts they are in right now. Maybe you will stumble on them at some point. My favorite was the sunrise on the way to New York. It could not have been better had I been outside the car taking it. One of my all time favorites.
Glad to hear you weren’t driving!!!
Happy Friday Judy!
Thank you, Margie! Congrats again on getting into the juried art show. Your dinghy is awesome!
Hi Judy!
I also love, love, love clouds! I’ve been known to stop next to the road to take pctures of clouds, or ask my son to quickly take pictures of impressive clouds while I’m driving. i’ve got quite a selection of photographs featuring clouds. 🙂
Zelmare
Hi Zelmare! Welcome to my blog! I think we have lots in common. I’ll look forward to seeing your clouds someday. Thanks for stopping by!
I was wondering how you managed to do it, till I read the last sentence 🙂
You have some beautiful shots here, Judy! Clouds are my favourites too.
Hi Bindu! I didn’t want anyone to call the police on me! So I thought I’d better tell everyone I wasn’t driving! There’s no way I could keep the car on the road and snap photos anyway! lol Thank you for your kind comments, Bindu! We have something else in common~clouds! 😉
Great idea for getting some beautiful pictures! Now I’m trying to see what animals the clouds look like … 🙂
That’s one of my favorite things to do when in the car! 😉
Let me know what you find!
I always stop by every time I see the sky smiling at me beautifully 😀 especially at night! The moon with the collaboration of stars! oh geez, i can see myself up there, kissing the moon 😛
Let me know when you do that, nenskel, and I’ll take a picture of you kissing the moon! 😉 I love the sky and clouds too! Thanks for commenting!
