Weekly Photo Challenge: Winter

This photo was taken shortly after sunrise, after a 10″ snowfall in November.

The woods, usually dank and dark, become illuminated with the increasing sunlight.  The sun brings warmth and love to our world.

“Hatred paralyses life; love releases it.  Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it.  Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.”
~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Let us all follow the wisdom of the great Martin Luther King.  Let your love light shine onto others; give the gift of unconditional love and chase the darkness of hate away.  Hate does not belong in a world filled with love~ ❤

  1. Welcome to the weekly photo challenge Judy.
And my god! what a lovely photo.
And now my craving to experience snow has tripled 🙂

    Great quote 🙂
I was lucky enough to one day walk down Martin Luther King’s memorial in Washington DC. there were such motivational quotes from him – reproduced all around the wall; had a calming effect on the visitors [certainly me] … 🙂

    • Thank you, Amira. I enjoyed seeing your photo challenges. I was hoping it would continue this year. Awww..wish I could send you a snowball! That would satisfy your craving….but you would not have to leave your beautiful islands! 😉 I have not been to DC since the memorial was placed. I do very much want to see it. It’s nice to hear what you have to say about it. I have a hunch I’ll feel the same way. ❤

  2. What a beautiful capture!! I need to come to your place so I could take photography lessons!! lol 😀 Really awesome shot. In general, you have interesting shots that bring out interesting aspects of your subject!! 🙂 And the quote is awesome. 🙂
    Cheers,

    • Thanks Elyas….you are welcome to come here any time! I am grateful for your compliments. I do love that quote too. I need to get going on the awards. I apologize for being late.
